This is a cheap way to insure the heads you just bought are in mechanically sound condition and are ready to bolt on, while adding some Horse Power as well! Ported and Polished heads will be a compliment to the other performance parts that are installed on your bike. Stage 2 head service is great for building 95 -110ci motors. Turn your Stock Heads into Performance Heads! Stage 2 Heads will support over 130 Horse Power and Torque! Stage 2 service will to take your build to the next level of High Performance! Gains can be expected in the range of 10 – 20 Horse Power and Torque over stock heads with a good cam and a tune! Polishing of combustion chamber : most porters don’t polish the chamber or ports because it is costly and time consuming process. Helps Prevent Carbon Build Up – Which lead to hot spots and pre-ignition/detonation. Reflects Heat – Resulting in cooler head temps and a more dense air charge creating more Horse Power and Torque! Better Fuel Economy – Resulting from the reflection of heat, aiding in a more complete burn in the combustion process. De-carbonize, Disassemble, and Inspect. Polishing of Combustion Chamber. Combustion Chambers Size Kept Stock at 85-86cc. Full porting of both intake and exhaust runner. Polishing of both runners to ideal surface. 80-120 grit finish on intake for increased velocity and better air/fuel atomization. Fully polished exhaust keeps velocity high and carbon build up down. Retaining of guides and springs if within Harley specs (unless upgraded). All gasket surfaces are cleaned and lightly sanded to assure proper sealing of gaskets. Machining of valve seats for oversized valves. Stainless Steel High Flow Valves. 1.900″int/1.610″exh. Things you might want to add or send. New Springs – can be provided by me (for additional cost) or you can send them with your heads. Stage 2 heads will create greater Volumetric Efficiency (cylinder fill) and Velocity (faster air speed), in effect producing more torque, and at the end of the equation this means more horse power! Resulting in faster acceleration and a more efficient running engine. Average Flow Bench Numbers From Stage 2 Head Service. Tested at: Intake 28″ Exhaust 28″. Intake Valve Diameter, inches. Exhaust Valve Diameter, inches. This is only an average based off our typical Stage 2 results as we don’t flow test every set. The Stage 2 heads velocity will be substantially higher than stock, thus allowing more cylinder fill which equates to more torque and horsepower. Stage 2 heads have been known to produce over 135 horsepower and torque with the right cam and tune.
